Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, is known for his distinct style of rapping. Baker was born April 22, 1990 in Houston Texas U.S. into an ethnically diverse family with English Scottish and German descent. His parents, who were both missionaries, took him to numerous journeys during his early time. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed in the same year that Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Then, Baker as well as his father moved to Denver which was where they stayed in the home of his aunt. Baker was bullied by the other kids because of his poverty. When he was in sixth grade, he began to pay attention to hip-hop. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born on April 22, 1990, in Houston, Texas. He has a reputation for blending hip-hop styles that are contemporary and alternative to the rock genre in his compositions. Baker has recorded four mixtapes during between 2007 and 2010 prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. These Cleveland rapper who raps lyrics as fast as bullet trains, saw an explosive climb towards the end of 2011, when he switched from self-released mixtapes to working on reputable labels. It was as a result, with every one of his albums reaching the top 10 on charts.
